My 1st time to fly a kite!

I got to fly a kite for the first time! It was a perfectly windy day -- just look at my hair in some of these pictures! The funny part was when Daddy let me hold the kite all by myself and I let go over it. My mommy thought it was funny to see Daddy chase over the sand dunes after it, but I was rather upset about losing my kite! Luckily, Daddy saved the day and got my kite back for me. It was fun to see just how high we could get the kite to fly. Living by Lake Michigan gives us clear areas and lots of wind -- perfect for my kite!

Up, up, and away!

All this windy makes me wacky!

Our garden!

We planted a garden! It is so neat! Mommy says we get to watch all the veggies and fruits grow. I want to eat them now! We planted big tomatoes, small tomatoes, peppers, beans, peas, lettuce, broccoli, yellow squash, zucchini, strawberries, and more! We even planted two pumpkins and a few other types of melons that will grow bigger and bigger until they are ready to pick this fall. We planned two pumpkins for me and my baby brother, Evan! :) I can't wait to pick our food from the garden and eat it!

Hanging with my friend Claudia...

Now that summer is near, I get see Claudia more and more, especially since her Mommy (Jenn) will be done with work for the summer! Claudia and I got to spend some time together before we went to the Kinderparade (Tulip Time). We had so much fun at the parade and ate tons of yummy food! Here are a couple pictures of Claudia and I playing before we left for the parade. We've grown a lot since last summer....

Summer days lingering near...

Yes, I had another pool day. I love them. Just about every morning I ask Mommy if I will be able to get in my pool today. We had a picnic on the grass and ate some watermelon. Even though I look as if I might be enjoying it, don't let my Mommy fool you. I really am not a huge watermelon fan. My Mommy on the other hand, she loves it!

Stopping (or...running) to smell the flowers...

It is almost Tulip Time here in the city where I live. We have a lot of tulips growing around town. Mommy and I went with our friends Christy and Lucy to a tulip farm. It was so pretty there. Mommy could hardly keep me still, but she tried to catch some cute shots. While we were there, some photographers noticed me being silly and asked my Mommy if they could take pictures of me for an upcoming travel show and travel magazines. Of course my Mommy doesn't mind sharing my smile with the world, so she said yes. Maybe you'll see me and the tulips on the Travel Channel one day!

First Dip of the Season!

YAY! The weather in Michigan got warm enough that I was able to take the first dip of the season in my kiddie pool. I had so much fun!
