Happy Birthday to Me!

Look at what Mommy and Daddy bought for me for my 3rd Birthday!!! I am going to be 3 at the end of August, but that is also when my baby brother Evan is due to arrive. So I have my birthday party planned for the 4th of July! Mommy and Daddy got me an early birthday present - a swing set! It is so much fun! It has a "treehouse" up on top (what I like to call it), a big red slide, two swings, and some rings. Mommy can't stop bragging about how she found it for $90.00 - guess that means she'll have extra money to buy me more toys! I love my new swing set!

Megan's Bug Book

Mommy and I went for a nature hike the other day and took pictures of all the bugs we found. She showed me how to use her camera and I got to help take the pictures too. Then we came home and downloaded all our pictures and wrote a book. Mommy printed the bug pictures on sticker paper and I put them in their right spot in the book. I love reading my bug book - I wrote it myself and I can read it all by myself too!

Everybody dance now!

Mommy and Aunt Gigi performed a dance routine when they were in 6th grade. Mommy still has the glittery, gold belt and hat from their crowd stopping performance! I love to dress up in them and break it down just like they did "back in the day." Look at me go!

Our garden is growing!

Things have sure greened up around here since Spring left! All the trees now have leaves and flowers are blooming. Our garden is growing really big too! If you look earlier in my pictures, you can see what our garden use to look like. Compare it to the photo below and you can see it has done a lot of growing! Our strawberries looked so yummy, but unfortunately, I think the birds got them before us. I love eating green beans right off the plant - fresh from the garden - yummy! Our cherry tomatoes are just about to turn red too!

Fun with Olivia!

My friend Olivia came to stay with me a couple weekends ago. We had so much fun playing, going to the beach, eating pizza, making s'mores - it was all so yummy and fun! I also got to spend some time with baby Noah (Olivia's little brother). I can't believe that I am going to have one of those too! A baby brother seems like fun! Here are some pictures of Olivia and I having fun!

The park!

How could summer be summer without trip to the park too? The beach, the zoo, I've got to do it all! Luckily, we live near a park so we walk there often. We take Jessi with us too. She likes to go for walks and watch me play. My favorite part about going to the park is the slide and the swings. The park we go to also has a baseball park next to it. I like to run the bases! I am so fast! Sometimes I get confused and mistake the pitchers mound for second base, but you should see me go - boy, am I fast!

The zoo!

We took a little break and spent a day at the Battlecreek Zoo! I had so much fun. I really love animals so going to the zoo is always very exciting for me. I could stay there all day, if Mommy and Daddy would let me. Now that I'm getting a little older, I really like to ask questions and look at how the animals eat, move, and make different noises. The zoo is such a great place!

The beach!

Time to hit the beach! Mommy and I have turned out to be regular "beach bums", as she calls us! We've had a lot of fun hitting the beach when the weather lets us. Sometimes we pack a picnic lunch and take goodies with us. I like how the sand gives our food an extra crunch! My friend Claudia joined us at the beach a couple times.
