A day at the beach!

A day at the beach....
A couple weekends ago we went back up to Muskegon (that is where I was born!) and had some fun at our favorite beach! Mommy brought a photographer along but I was too busy having fun with the sand and water to pay attention to the camera! It was such a windy day and my curls bounced up and down as the wind blew. I had so much fun playing at the beach!

Tea Party!

Oh boy, oh boy! I love tea parties! Today my bestest bud Claudia hosted a Tea Party in honor of her second birthday (she is a big girl just like me now!). It was the bestest party ever! Her mommy made all sorts of yummy food and I even got to eat Jello with my fingers (mommy always make me use a spoon). She told me this was a special kind I would pick up with my hands -- it was yummy! We had cupcakes too and played fun games. Of course, no tea party would be a 'proper' tea party without the proper attire. So all us gals came dressed accordingly. Even though I am more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal, I really liked dressing up for Claudia birthday. I'm so glad I am friends with Claudia so that I got to go to her special party! I wonder what her mommy will think of next year?

I'm a growing girl!

Today I went to my 2 year check-out. I got to see the doctor...I was very excited to go see him and kept asking Mommy all morning "Go now? Doctor"...."Mama, Doctor?" Mommy pretended to play doctor with me so I knew just what it was going to be like. He listened to my tummy - he said he was looking for butterflies? How silly...why would there be butterflies in my tummy? I had a good check-up and weighed in at 26 lbs. and 33 1/4 inches! I'm purrrrfect!

Daddy had an extra day off on Monday, so we went to Grand Rapids to the John Ball Zoo. I got to see PENGUINS!!! I love penguins, they are the best...and they are so cute! I loved looking at all the different animals and making funny sounds just like them. Mommy says I make a pretty good little monkey!

"Mommy, look a star!"

Here Fishy, Fishy

My Paw Paw also went fishing with me. He took me to a pier and we caught some little fishies! While I wasn't sure of the worms, I thought the fish were really neat! My Paw Paw had to go get a fishing license...I guess that means they needed to make sure he knew how to use a fishing pole. Well, he passed...but while I was waiting for him my Mommy took some pictures of me at the park.

Apple Orchard

While my Grandma and Paw Paw were here, we went to a local apple orchard and picked some YUMMY apples! There were so many trees and I loved pulling the apples off of the branches. I was actually pretty good at it. We put the apples in a wagon and took them to be weighed. We also stopped to pick some peaches. My Grandma said that not everything is bigger in Texas - that Michigan definitely has the best, and biggest peaches! My mommy made peach cobbler and apple crisp...yummmm! My favorite part was the ice cream that we put on top!

Grandma and Paw Paw

My Grandma and Paw Paw came to visit me all the way from Texas! I love them soooooo much and had such a fine time with them. They made me giggle and spent a lot of time with me...Mommy said they were spoiling me but I beg to differ...I can't be spoiled! While they were here we did a lot of fun things together like going to the apple orchard (and making apple crisp!), fishing, walks, the beach, and we also had a fire and made some s'mmmmmmores! Yum! They also brought me a present from my Memaw in Texas. They towed a Power Wheel Jeep all the way from Texas - a two seater so my friend Claudia can drive all around the yard with me! I wanted to say "thank you" Memaw...my mommy said she will post some pictures of me on it soon. We had a great time and I can't wait to see my Grandma and Paw Paw again. I love them very much.
